Award Recommendation Helper
Awards happen because someone writes in. Anyone can recommend anyone — you don't need to be a member, you don't need to hold the award yourself, and you can recommend a friend. This worksheet walks you through the parts of a strong recommendation and assembles your answers into a letter you can paste into your kingdom's recommendation form (Caid's is here). Every word of the case is yours; nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
Who you're recommending
Not sure which? Browse your kingdom's award list (Caid's is here) and check their Order of Precedence entry so you don't recommend one they already hold.
Make the case
The Crown reads many recommendations. Specifics are what make one stick: names of events, projects, offices, and dates beat "they're always so helpful" every time.
Upcoming events they'll attend. Royalty try to give awards where the recipient (and their friends) will be present.
About you
Before you send it
Your letter
Paste this into your kingdom's recommendation form (Caid's is here), or adapt the greeting if the form asks for the body only. Peerage orders (Laurel, Pelican, Chivalry, Defense) often have their own secretaries — your kingdom's award page shows where each one goes.
